What PVC Strip Is, and What It Isn't
PVC 亮条是什么，不是什么
PVC strip is a continuous extruded trim, supplied on spools, with a bright metallic or coated surface. It cuts cleanly, holds a fold, and takes stitching or adhesive without cracking. What it isn't: a decorative trim that competes with rhinestone lace or diamond rope. On its own it reads as hardware, closer to a metal finish than to sparkle. That's exactly what makes it useful next to stones.
PVC 亮条是连续挤出的条状料，成卷供货，表面是亮的金属感或镀膜效果。它裁切利落，折得住边，车线和上胶都不开裂。它不是什么：不是和水钻花边、水钻抽条抢风头的装饰条。单独看，它更像五金件，是金属质感，不是闪。恰恰因为这点，它和钻放在一起才好用。
A note on the family it belongs to. Our rhinestone lines, from crystal mesh to diamond rope, all answer the question "where does the sparkle go." PVC strip answers a different one: "what keeps that sparkle flat, straight and attached." Most factories order it together with a stoned trim rather than alone.

Role One: the Base Under Decoration
角色一：装饰下面的底材
When a designer wants a row of stones running along a sandal strap or a bag flap, the stones rarely sit on the upper material directly. Soft leather flexes, satin shifts, mesh stretches. Mount the decoration on a PVC strip first and you get a stable, uniform base: the stone row stays straight through lasting, and the bond line is consistent because PVC is the same surface every time, batch after batch. The strip then attaches to the upper as one piece.

This is also why tone matching matters at the base layer. If the strip peeks out between stones, a rose-gold strip under rose-gold-toned stones disappears; a mismatched one looks like a mistake. We extrude the strip in the same tone family as our rhinestone settings so the base can show a little without anyone noticing.

Role Two: the Backing That Holds Shape
角色二：撑住形状的背衬
The second job happens out of sight. A rhinestone-covered strap or a stoned bag handle carries real weight, and the decorated face alone won't keep its shape over months of wear. A PVC strip laminated behind the upper material adds stiffness where you want it and nowhere else. Bag factories use it behind stoned panels for the same reason: the panel stays flat instead of dimpling around each stone.

Three things buyers typically specify for backing use:
- Width, matched to the strap or panel, usually a few millimetres narrower than the visible face so the edge never shows.
- Thickness, which sets the stiffness. A thin strip keeps a strap flexible; a thicker one turns a soft panel rigid.
- Surface, since a backing strip is hidden. A plain finish does the job and there's no need to pay for the bright face.

Role Three: the Edge That Finishes the Work

The third role is edging. A cut edge on a stoned panel is the weakest point of the whole assembly: stones near the cut line pop first, and raw material edges fray. Folding a PVC strip over that edge seals it. On footwear it finishes toplines and strap ends; on bags it runs along flap edges and gusset seams. Because the strip is extruded in metallic tones, the edge binding doubles as a clean visual frame around the rhinestone field, the way a bezel frames a watch face.

Because the same strip can play three roles, a one-line order ("PVC strip, rose gold, 500 m") leaves the factory guessing. Tell us which role it plays and the spec writes itself. For a base, name the rhinestone trim going on top so tone and width can match it. For a backing, give the strap width and how stiff you want the result. For an edge, send the panel thickness so the fold-over width is right. Strips ship on spools, boxed for export, and we cut to width in-house, so an unusual dimension is a normal request, not a custom project.
