Before rows, before stones, Diamond Rope is a choice of form.

Diamond Rope is a fabric-backed rhinestone trim — but “fabric-backed” describes the build, not the shape a buyer ends up holding. Before row count, before the stone mix, Diamond Rope is one of two forms: half-round or full-round. The two share a woven base and a sew-on logic, but they sit differently on a strap, carry different inner cores, and open up different style ranges. Naming the form first makes every later spec — rows, width, core, stones — a cleaner conversation.
水钻抽条是一种布底水钻条带——但"布底"说的是做法，不是客户最终拿在手里的形状。在排数、在钻材组合之前，水钻抽条先分两种形态：半圆 或 全圆。两者都带织布底、都走缝制逻辑，但落在鞋带上的样子不同、内层不同、能做的款式范围也不同。先把形态说清，后面的排数、宽度、内层、钻材才都好谈。
02 · Half-Round
One face sparkles, one face stitches down.
一面是钻，一面留布
A half-round rope carries stones across one face and leaves fabric on the other. That fabric face is what the factory stitches down, so the trim sits flat against a strap and the decoration faces out. Because only one face has to be dressed, half-round opens the widest style range LOCA makes — row counts of 4, 5, 6 or 8, mixed stone families, and the full set of inner cores: cotton, EVA, PVC, PU or TPU. When a buyer wants choice — different looks, different hand-feel, different strap behaviour — half-round is usually where the conversation starts.
半圆抽条一面铺钻，另一面留布。留布的那一面是工厂下针的地方，让条带平贴鞋带、装饰朝外。因为只有一面要"做满"，半圆是乐卡能做的款式范围最广的形态——4 / 5 / 6 / 8 排、各种钻材混搭，内层五种全可选：棉、EVA、PVC、PU、TPU。当客户想要"有得选"——不同外观、不同手感、不同上带表现——通常都是从半圆聊起。
03 · Full-Round
A cord or tube, dressed on every side.
把整条芯包起来
A full-round rope wraps decoration all the way around a cotton cord or a PVC round tube, so the trim reads as a finished round line from any angle. That continuous wrap is its strength — and its constraint. The inner core is limited to those two options, a cotton cord or a PVC round tube, and the style range is narrower than half-round because every side has to be dressed. Full-round is the form to ask for when the strap shows the trim from more than one angle and you want a rounded, three-dimensional line rather than a flat-faced one.
全圆抽条把装饰整圈包在棉芯条或 PVC 圆管外，从任何角度看都是一条收好口的圆线。这种"整圈包覆"既是它的强项，也是它的约束：内层只限这两种——棉芯条 或 PVC 圆管，款式范围比半圆窄，因为每一面都要做。当鞋带会从多个角度露出条带、你想要的是一条圆润立体的线而不是平面一面钻时，就点全圆。
04 · The Inner Core Follows the Form

内层跟着形态走
The inner core is what gives a rope its body — how stiff it sits, how it bends around a strap, how it survives repeated flexing. The available cores follow the form, not the other way round. Half-round can take any of five: cotton, EVA, PVC, PU or TPU, each with a different stiffness and recovery. Full-round is built on a cotton cord or a PVC round tube only. So a brief that names the form first already narrows the core list — and a brief that names a core that doesn’t pair with that form is the kind of mismatch worth catching before sampling.
内层决定一条抽条的"身骨"——坐着有多挺、绕带时怎么弯、反复弯折后能不能回弹。可选的内层是跟着形态来的，不是反过来。半圆五种内层都能用：棉、EVA、PVC、PU、TPU，软硬和回弹各不同。全圆只在棉芯条或 PVC 圆管上做。所以一份先说清形态的 brief，本身就把内层范围缩小了；而点了一个和该形态不搭的内层，正是打样前值得先拦下来的错配。
05 · A Quick Choosing Frame

Use the form as the first filter. Choose half-round when you want the widest style range, a flat decorated face stitched against the strap, and freedom across all five inner cores — the default for most sandal-strap and footwear-trim work. Choose full-round when the line must read as round from several angles and a cotton cord or PVC tube core suits the build. After the form is fixed, set the inner core, then the row count (4 / 5 / 6 / 8) and width (4–20 mm, custom per order), then the stone mix. Working in that order keeps a Diamond Rope brief from looping back on itself.
把形态当第一道筛子。想要款式最广、一面平贴鞋带的钻面、五种内层都自由——选半圆，这是大多数凉鞋带、鞋饰条的默认项。要让这条线从多个角度看都是圆的、棉芯条或 PVC 圆管内层也合适——选全圆。形态定了，再定内层，然后是排数（4 / 5 / 6 / 8）和宽度（4–20 mm，按单定制），最后才是钻材组合。按这个顺序走，一份水钻抽条 brief 不会绕回头。
06 · How to Brief Diamond Rope

A clean Diamond Rope brief names six things: the form (half-round or full-round), the inner core, the row count, the width, the stone mix, and whether this is a trial sample or a repeatable production route. With those settled, LOCA samples against a real spec rather than a guess — and the same lines carry straight into a repeat order. Diamond Rope is produced on dedicated machines at our Pujiang factory and ships as a sew-on / stitched trim for sandal straps, footwear and stitched embellishment across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the USA, Italy, Europe, Latin America and the MENA region.
