A Patch Is a Placement, Not a Pattern
钻贴是「摆一个点」，不是「铺一片」
A Diamond Patch arrives as one finished piece: rhinestones already set into a shaped motif, backed and ready to go onto the shoe. That changes how you think about it. With crystal mesh you cover an area; with a patch you choose a point. The whole value sits in that one decision, because a patch that lands half a centimeter off center reads as a mistake long before anyone counts the stones.
钻贴到手就是一整块成品：水钻已经镶进一个成型的图案里，背面处理好，直接往鞋上贴。这一点改变了你考虑它的方式。水钻胶网是去盖住一块面积；钻贴是去选一个点。它全部的价值就在这一个决定上，因为一块偏了半厘米的钻贴，还没等谁去数钻，就先被看成是做坏了。
So before anything else, fix the reference point. On a vamp that usually means the centerline of the shoe, the line that runs from the toe back to the throat. On a heel it's the vertical center of the heel counter. Every placement spec should name that line first and give the patch position as a distance from it, not as a vague "on the vamp." The factory can hit a measured point. It can't read your mind about where the eye should land.
所以别的都先放一边，先把基准点定下来。鞋面上，这个基准一般是鞋的中线，从鞋头往后到鞋口的那条线。鞋跟上，是后跟杯的竖直中心。每一份排布说明都该先把这条线点名,再把钻贴的位置写成离这条线多少距离，而不是含糊一句「贴在鞋面上」。工厂能打中一个量好的点，它没法猜你想让目光落在哪。
The Vamp: Symmetry Carries It
鞋面：对称是关键
The vamp is the face of the shoe, so symmetry does most of the work. A single patch reads best sitting astride the centerline, balanced left to right. Put it slightly forward of the throat line, not dead center on the foot, because on the last the eye reads a point near the toe as forward-leaning and elegant, while a patch sitting back toward the ankle looks like it slid. We give buyers a starting rule: place the patch's optical center about one third of the way back from the toe cap, then adjust on the sample.
鞋面是一双鞋的脸，所以对称承担了大部分活儿。单块钻贴跨在中线上、左右平衡，看着最稳。把它放在鞋口线略靠前的位置，别正落在脚背正中，因为在楦型上，靠近鞋头的那个点会被看成是前倾、显得利落，而往脚踝方向坐的钻贴会像是滑下去了。给买家的起手准则是：把钻贴的视觉中心放在离鞋头盖约三分之一处，再在样品上微调。
For a left-and-right pair on an open vamp or a sandal, the two patches must mirror, not repeat. A motif with direction (a flower facing one way, a flag bursting one way) has to flip between the left shoe and the right so they lean toward each other or both forward. This is the single most common thing buyers forget to specify, and it's the single most common reason a sample comes back wrong. Say it on the order: mirrored pair, not identical pair.
碰到开口鞋面或凉鞋上左右各一块，两块钻贴要镜像，不是照搬。有方向的图案（朝一边开的花、朝一边炸开的旗面）必须在左右脚之间翻面，让两只要么朝彼此倾、要么都朝前。这是买家最常忘了交代的一件事，也是样品做错最常见的一个原因。在订单上写清楚：镜像一对，不是一模一样的一对。
The Heel: Read It From Behind
鞋跟：从后面看
The heel is seen from a different angle and a longer distance: people read the back of a shoe as it walks away. That changes the placement logic. A heel patch sits on the heel counter or up the back seam, centered on the vertical, and it wants to be read as a clean silhouette rather than fine detail, because at walking distance the eye catches the shape and the sparkle, not the individual stones. Bolder, simpler motifs hold up better on the heel than busy ones.
鞋跟是从另一个角度、更远的距离看的：人看一双鞋的后面，是在它走开的时候。这就把排布逻辑变了。鞋跟上的钻贴落在后跟杯或顺着后中缝往上，竖直居中，它要的是被看成一个干净的剪影，而不是精细的细节，因为在走路那个距离上，眼睛抓的是形状和闪，不是单颗的钻。轮廓利落、图案简单的，在鞋跟上比繁复的更扛看。
Match the patch height to the heel height. On a low block heel a tall motif crowds the counter and bleeds into the topline; on a stiletto a small patch gets lost on a long back seam. The patch should occupy a comfortable share of the visible heel, roughly the middle two thirds, with breathing room at the topline and the heel tip. Spell the heel height in the spec so the factory scales the patch to the last, not to a flat drawing.
钻贴的高度要跟鞋跟高度配。低粗跟上，一块高的图案会把后跟杯挤满，糊到鞋口线上；细高跟上，一小块钻贴又会在长长的后中缝上丢掉。钻贴该占可见鞋跟一块舒服的比例，大约中间三分之二，鞋口线和跟尖处留出余地。把跟高写进规格里，让工厂照楦型去缩放钻贴，而不是照一张平面图。
What to Spell Out on the Order
订单上要交代清的几项
A placement comes back right when the order leaves no point to guess. Here is what we ask buyers to send with a Diamond Patch run, in plain terms:
一份排布能一次做对，靠的是订单里没有需要猜的地方。下面是我们请买家在下钻贴单时一并发来的几项，说白了就是：
- Reference line and a measured offset (distance from toe cap or centerline to the patch's optical center).
- Mirrored or identical for pairs, stated outright, with the facing direction of any directional motif.
- Patch size against the actual last and size run, since a patch sized for a 37 looks small on a 41.
- Attachment method: hot-fix backing fused with heat and pressure, sewn through, or both, matched to where the patch sits and how the shoe flexes.
- Base and finish of the surface it lands on (leather, satin, mesh), because the backing has to bond to that material.
- 基准线加一个量好的偏移量（鞋头盖或中线到钻贴视觉中心的距离）。
- 成对时是镜像还是相同，直接写明，连同任何有方向图案的朝向。
- 钻贴尺寸要对着实际楦型和尺码段，因为按 37 码配的钻贴放到 41 码上会显小。
- 固定方式：烫钻背胶用热和压力压合、穿线缝、还是两者都用，按钻贴落点和鞋子弯折的情况来定。
- 落点表面的基材与处理（皮、缎、网），因为背胶要跟那个材料粘得住。
Send those five and the sample comes back close. Leave any of them blank and the factory fills the gap with a guess, and the guess is the thing you'll spend a round correcting. The patch itself is the easy part of this product. Telling us exactly where it goes is the work that makes a shoe look designed.
