What changed is everything that happened between the packing bench in Pujiang and the receiving dock in Los Angeles or Milan. Heat, humidity, a rough transfer, a carton stacked under three heavier ones: any of these can dull an AB coating or lift an adhesive that was fine when it shipped. So packing isn't the afterthought at the end of an order. For rhinestone materials crossing an ocean, it's part of the product.

Moisture Is the Quiet Enemy

Most people brace for the dramatic damage: a dropped pallet, a torn carton. The damage that actually shows up most often is slower and quieter. Sea freight means weeks inside a steel box that heats up by day and cools at night, and that swing pulls moisture out of the air and onto whatever's inside. On rhinestone materials, water is what fogs an AB or color coating and what softens the hot-fix glue dots so they stick to each other instead of to your garment. By the time the buyer notices, the cause is long gone.

The fix is unglamorous and reliable. We seal rhinestone trims in PE bags, drop silica gel inside the carton, and line the box where the route or season calls for it. Stones with delicate finishes get the heavier protection. None of it is expensive. Skipping it is.

Pack to the Shape of Each Line

Eight product lines don't pack the same way, and treating them alike is how things arrive crushed. A roll of crystal mesh wants to keep its roll: wound on a core, stood upright, never stacked flat under weight that flattens the pattern. Diamond rope and diamond lace ship coiled or folded with the stone face turned inward, so two rows of rhinestones never rub against each other in transit. Diamond patches and diamond flower motifs sit in trays or blister sheets, each piece in its own pocket, because a 3D rhinestone flower that gets pressed flat doesn't spring back.

Stop the Damage That Happens in Transit

Even well-sealed cartons move inside a container. A box with empty space rattles, and rattling is what chips a stone edge or works an adhesive loose over a few thousand kilometers. We pack to fill: void space gets foam, paper, or right-sized inserts so nothing shifts. Cartons are sized so they don't bulge and don't crush, and the heavier ones never ride on top of the lighter rhinestone goods inside a pallet.

Stretch wrap and corner boards hold a pallet square so it survives the forklift, not just the truck. It reads as over-packing until you've opened one carton that wasn't done this way.

Get the Paperwork and Marks Right

把单证和唛头做对

A clean carton is half the job. The other half is making sure it clears customs without sitting in a warehouse accruing fees. Rhinestone materials cross into the US, Italy, the wider EU, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, and Latin America, and each route has its own paperwork temper. The commercial invoice, packing list, and HS code need to match what's physically in the box, described in plain trade terms rather than internal shorthand. A mismatch between the declared goods and the actual rhinestone trim is the fastest way to get a shipment held.

Shipping marks earn their keep on the warehouse floor. Each carton carries its number, gross and net weight, dimensions, and the handling marks that matter for rhinestone goods: keep dry, this side up, do not stack. We label so a worker who reads none of the invoice can still set the box down the right way. Give your forwarder the full document set early, confirm the consignee and notify-party details before the goods leave, and the box that left Pujiang in good shape is the box your line opens.
