Many bridal orders are not built from scratch. A buyer takes an existing gown and asks for a new sleeve treatment or a beaded back, often on a sample that has already been cut and sewn. You cannot recut the armhole. What you can do is run a line of stones along the seam that is already there. Diamond lace on the roll lets a factory add that line without touching the pattern.

很多婚纱订单不是从零起做。采购拿一件现成的裙子，要求换个袖子做法，或者加一道钉珠的背，往往还是在一件已经裁好缝好的样衣上改。袖竟是不能重裁的。能做的，是顺着本来就有的那道缝走一条钻。成卷的水钻花边，让工厂不动版就能加上这条线。

Because the trim bends, it can be pinned dry along the curve first, checked against the body, then fixed. That dry-fit step is what keeps a redesign from turning into a re-cut.

因为这种辅料能弯，可以先干别在弧线上，套在人台上看一遍，再固定。正是这一步试位，才不至于把改款变成重裁。

Following the Armhole and Sleeve Cuff

顺着袖竟与袖口走

An illusion sleeve is sheer, so both edges of the trim show. The cuff needs a clean stop, not a raw cut. Two habits help here.

透视袖是薄纱，辅料的两条边都会露出来。袖口需要一个干净的收尾，而不是一刀毛口。这里有两个习惯值得养成。

• Turn the tail under: fold the last few centimetres of the strip back on itself so no cut end faces out at the wrist.
• Mind the stretch: a fitted illusion sleeve moves with the arm, so seat the trim on the stable seam line rather than across an area that flexes.

• 尾端往里翻：把条带最后几厘米往回折，让腕口处没有任何切口朝外。
• 留意弹性：修身透视袖会随手臂动，所以把辅料落在稳定的缝线上，别横跨会伸缩的区域。

On the armhole itself, the trim reads as a drawn line that separates the sheer yoke from the bodice. Keep the density even around the full curve. A gap at the underarm is easy to leave and hard to forgive once it is on a hanger under shop lights.

到了袖竟本身，这条辅料看起来就是一道分界线，把透视的育克和衣身分开。整条弧线的密度要匀。腋下那一段最容易留空，可一旦挂上货架、打上店里的灯，就很难交代了。

Finishing an Open or Cut-Out Back

收露背与镁空背

A bridal back is the view the whole room gets during the ceremony. Cut-out backs and low illusion panels leave long, exposed edges that beg for definition. Diamond lace traces the opening: down one side of the spine, around the base of the cut-out, back up the other side. Because it is one continuous strip off the roll, the two sides can be mirrored so they match.

新娘的背，是整场仪式里全场人都在看的那个面。镁空背和低开的透视片，会留下一长条暴露的边，正需要一道东西来勾勒。水钻花边就沿着开口走：脊线一侧往下，绕过镁空底端，再从另一侧上来。因为它是成卷下来的一整条，两边可以做成镜像、正好对称。

Corners on a cut-out are tight. Relieve the backing with small notches so the trim eases around the turn instead of lifting into a ridge. A back that lifts at the corner looks unfinished no matter how good the stones are.

镁空的转角很急。在布底上剪几个小口放量，让辅料顺着转角过去，而不是翘起成一道棱。转角一翘，钻再好这件背也显得没做完。

Choosing the Right Lace and Ordering It

Diamond lace comes in several widths, stone sizes and an extensive density library, so a delicate illusion sleeve and a bolder back can draw from the same product family at different weights. Match the lace to the ground fabric. A heavy, dense strip drags on fine tulle. A lighter three-line strip sits better on sheer sleeves, while a wider run suits a structured back.

Order by the roll and keep one length in reserve. Bridal reorders come in ones and twos, and a factory that already holds the matching roll can answer a re-cut request the same week. Send the actual gown fabric when you sample, because the same silver strip looks colder on bright white than on ivory.
